More than a team: a family

Between Huanchaco and the UK, a small team with a big job: looking after our volunteers, uplifting the community and running the charity with care.

How we work

Three things we look after

Working together, our team is dedicated to enhancing the volunteer experience, uplifting the local community and managing the NGO with care and efficiency.

The wider family

Our team is much bigger than four people. Local mentors Yaqui, Lia, Alexandra, Cristina and Catalina lead our GLOW Clubs, members of the Huanchaco community lead our LitClubs, and local and international volunteers and coordinators bring every programme to life.

  1. Our volunteers

We look after every volunteer from their first enquiry to the day they fly home, so they can give their best to the community.

  2. Our community

We listen to families in Cerrito de la Virgen and design our programmes around what they tell us they need.

  3. Our organisation

We run a UK charity and a Peruvian NGO with care, transparency and a close eye on every pound and sol.

Join the team

Lead a project in Huanchaco

Our coordinators are the backbone of the team in Peru. Antoine joined us as a volunteer and was soon managing projects. If you're ready to take on responsibility, a coordinator role could be your next step.
