- 5 min walk to the beach
- Up to 5 volunteers
- Garden & roof terrace

Our story
A family home, now a volunteer home
The house was once the family home of OCN directors Peter and Juany Murphy. Today it's both our office and a home for up to five volunteers: a bright white house with a lovely garden, complete with passion fruit trees.
Because the office is upstairs, our team is never far away. And it's one of the most affordable ways to stay in Huanchaco, especially from December to March, when local hostels put their summer prices up.
Roof
An open terrace where volunteers wash and dry laundry in the summer sun.
Second floor
The OCN office, so our team is never far away.
First floor
Two volunteer bedrooms, a shared bathroom and office space.
Ground floor
The shared kitchen and lounge-diner, plus two bedrooms and a shared bathroom, opening onto the garden.

House rules
Not a party house, but a real home
18+ only
Everyone living in the house must be at least 18.
Not a party house
It's a home, so enjoy it like one. Big nights out belong in town, not in the lounge.
Respect the neighbours
We're in a quiet part of town, and we want to keep good relationships with the people who live around us.
Quiet hours
We keep evening quiet hours so everyone is fresh for the projects the next morning. We'll walk you through the details when you arrive.
Look after each other
Shared spaces work when everyone pitches in: wash up, keep the kitchen tidy and be considerate of your housemates.
Living together
Barbecues, games nights, sunset surfs and the weekly volunteer lunch. The group quickly becomes a second family.
Working with the kids and seeing a difference being made is so rewarding. What made this even better was the close relationships formed with the volunteers and managers. They are so welcoming and helped me settle in.
